Set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, Cabaret focuses on nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and revolves around the English cabaret performer, Sally Bowles, and her relationship with young American writer, Cliff Bradshaw. A sub-plot involves the doomed romance between boarding house owner, Fraulein Scheider, and her suitor, Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit vendor. Best known songs from the show include Wilkommen, Don't Tell Mama, Two Ladies, Why Should I Wake Up, Tomorrow Belongs to Me, If You Could See Her and Cabaret.
