The next generation of web based applications are built with free tools, with few people understanding the best way to scale these applications out. All of these applications share some common architectural principles which seem to be working. The presenter is Cal Henderson, the engineering manager at Yahoo! Inc. responsible for the photosharing service at Flickr. Cal will look at the various approaches to scalable internet application architectures and discuss what we can learn from them.

This was great! Nice talk, lots of super geeky stuff about memcached and kinky master/slave relationships between databases.

Two thumbs up...
