Please join us for a special celebration on Sunday, May 22 as we celebrate Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel Independence Day) and Lag B'Omer with a day of family programming. The programming starts at 4pm at the Stroum Jewish Community Center with a fun, educational program focused on "Faces of Israel." Participants will visit themed rooms where they can learn about topics like "New Immigrants in Israeli Society" or "Israel in the 21st Century." Each room will have family-friendly activities. There will also be a "Jewish Fair" starting at 4pm in the JCC auditorium, where you can shop as well as get more information on Jewish activities in the Seattle area.

At 6pm, head across the street to Herzl-Ner Tamid for a traditional Lag B'Omer bonfire, delicious kosher barbecue and camp songs. The barbecue will be provided by Nosh Away at a cost of $7/adult or $5/child, payable online in advance. The JCC programming is provided free of charge.

For more information or to purchase tickets to the barbecue, visit www.JewishInSeattle.org/IsraelDay.
