Come enjoy after-hours access to the Peralta House Museum. Through audio, film, food samples, photography, sculpture, and more, the Peralta House resounds with the stories of the community today, as well as the early history of many cultures that created the East Bay.

You will also have the opportunity to meet current Peralta House docents and take a behind-the-scenes peek at how they lead unconventional tours of an unconventional museum. Staff will be available to answer questions about becoming a Peralta House docent.

Food and wine will be provided!

About Becoming a Docent:
Docent training consists of three sessions, after which docents lead one guided tour of the Peralta House Museum per month. Docents compose their own version of California history, including topics that interest them, favorite audio selections, and family stories. This is your chance to meet the brilliant, committed, friendly volunteers you've always wanted to know!
