Traditional interview methods often include questions that are too broad, "Tell me about yourself" or too specific, "Have you created computer code that...?" instead of those that are just right for predicting on the job success or can help you discern fact from fiction in the candidate's capabilities. Learn to follow a behavior-based interview model and use information gathering techniques to best assess applicants' ability to perform and thrive in your organization.

You'll use a position description from your own company to practice crafting questions which focus on critical performance factors, competencies, and organizational "fit," that you can ask, legally, at future interviews. We'll also discuss reducing the "halo effect" and spotting "red flags" on resumes, and behaviors that candidates exhibit when being less than honest, so you can get to the truth of the candidate's real capacities and their ability to be a star performer in your company.

PLEASE BRING A POSITION DESCRIPTION FROM YOUR COMPANY TO USE
