"Mark Chaudoir & Tim Platt designed and directed the BBC2 idents which won a D&AD Gold Award.

They will be showing work and talking about the history of BBC Graphic Design. They will cover the twenty years they‚ve spent working for the BBC (having been Graphic Design students at St Martins and London College of Printing).

The talk will take in the early days of BBC TV Graphics showing classic black and white title sequences (including the first Doctor Who), legendary titles sequences from the 70‚s and 80‚s, through to when they worked together in the 90‚s in the BBC Presentation team designing and directing multiple award winning idents, titles and promos. The talk will focus on a special presentation of BBC2 Idents, with never before seen footage of the filming.

They now work for Red Bee Media (formerly BBC Broadcast). Tim is a Creative Director designing large branding projects for UKTV and ITV. Mark has moved into directing full time. He will show a number of live action projects including the Banned Promo of Bez from the Happy Mondays filming Manchester Passion for BBC3, including x-rated outtakes."
