NCCO National Tour Kick-Off Concert January 13, 2013

Bay Area audiences will get a chance to hear tour repertoire including Mendelssohn's String Symphony No. 10, Bolcom's Romanza for Solo Violin and String Orchestra, Hector Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brazilieras No. 5 and Richard Strauss' Metamorphosen for 23 Solo Strings at tour kick-off concert January 13 in Herbst Theater.

An Evening Serenade Gala, New Century's annual fundraising benefit, will immediately follow the concert upstairs in the Green Room. Music Director Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg and the musicians of the New Century Chamber Orchestra will join guests for a special evening of music, food, wine and spirits to kick-off New Century's 2013 National Tour and celebrate Nadja's fifth season as Music Director.
