St. George's Day event April 21, 2013

Celebrate both the traditional and modern uses of the park this St. George's Day.
There will be traditional Morris dancing and a Mummers play performed by the Hands Around Morris Side; pole-lathing and traditional furniture making (using coppiced wood from the park) by the Friends of Langdon Hills and an opportunity to get involved and make your own woodland products to take home.
Come along to Westley Heights to see and learn new craft skills that are associated to the park. These include willow working with local experts Nick and Francis Hansen. Wood turning and pole lathing. Charcoal making. Bee Keeping. Photography. Chainsaw carving. Walking Sticks. Bird and Bug box making and much more.
