February 2005 marked the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee's inaugural State of the Net Conference, bringing technology and the Internet to the forefront of debate on Capitol Hill. Now approaching its third year, this annual full-day conference has become the premier forum to discuss technology trends and the enormous challenges which lawmakers, industry leaders, and citizens must confront and resolve.

Largely unregulated, the global, decentralized Internet has matured and today demands a new and imaginative regulatory framework -- one that is only beginning to be shaped. The State of the Net Conference offers attendees a chance to track and influence policy trends in this field.

The 3rd annual State of the Net Conference will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency. Located on Capitol Hill and drawing strong participation from government officials and industry leaders, the Conference is the perfect setting to connect with stakeholders in the Internet's growth and development.

Attracting well-over 350 attendees in 2006, the State of the Net Conference provides unparalleled opportunities to network and dialogue on key policy issues. Over half of the registered attendees will be congressional and government staff -- as has been the case each year. With such a critical mass of decision-makers, this is an event not to be missed.
