Come out and join us for our October production of Gilbert and Sullivan's ever popular The Mikado. Full of such lovely melodies as “A Wandering Minstrel I,” “Three Little Maids From School,” “The Flowers that Bloom in the Spring Tra La,” “Tit Willow,” and “For He’s Gone and Married Yum-Yum,” between these and many others you are sure to leave the theater humming one of them.

In usual hilarious Gilbert and Sullivan tradition, our show takes twists, turns, and even an evil plot or two; it is a show for the whole family — and you will find that love does triumph in the end!

Our show has several Heights veterans, and many new comers. Playing our young lovers are new comers Akira Fukui and Renee Heitman as Nanki-Poo and yum-Yum; Jennie Mescon (Pitti-Sing); Ashley Foley (Peep-Bo) and Michale Schneider (The Mikado). Heights veterans include Stephen O’Brien (ko-Ko); Joseph Hunt (Poo-Bah); Adam Strube (Pish-Tush); Debbi Burdett (Katisha), and at two performances Karen Mascolo (Katisha). In our women's ensemble we have veterans Karen Mascolo, Angela Auguste, Alexa Haines and Frances Pabon. Newcomers include Sabrina Fernandez, Synciere Smedley, Kerra Barr, Yuka Ibi, Julia MacAllister, Ashley Miller, Remina Nishida, Bridget Regan, Christina Saraglia, Yoko Yamashia and Lilo Adams.

In our men’s ensemble are newcomers Jerry Aiello, Bob Oliver, Manuel Fernandez, Richard Pearson and Alex Weaver.

The show is directed and designed by Albert Walsh, with musical director David Schaefer leading us through the gorgeous Gilbert and Sullivan score. Other veterans on board are Emily Wright, choreographer; Patrice Miki, stage manager; Gerry Newman, set designer; Rob Weinstein, lighting designer; John Bourne, house manager; Debbi Burdett, assistant to the director, and newcomer Patricia Shay, costumes.

So come down and enjoy this gorgeous score and the exotic flavors of the Far East on our stage.

Performance dates are Fridays & Saturdays, October 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 & 23 at 8:00 PM, and Sundays, October 10, 17 & 24 at 2:00 PM.
