'The Tubes' - San Francisco Based Rock Group of the '70s Through Today March 4, 2011

The Tubes' 1975 debut album included the hit single, "White Punks on Dope", a tribute to their rich, white fans in San Francisco. During the band's first 15 years, its live performances were characterized by wild satires of media, consumerism and politics. The group developed a faithful cult following and continues, with four of the original members, to draw audiences throughout the United States and abroad. The Tubes' most recent album, "Mondo Birthmark", was released in 2009, and contains previously unreleased rare photos and interviews of the group.
